Why schools come to us

A real skill, learned by doing

Our Barista Workshop Express is one of the most popular TY activities we run. It’s short enough to fit a school day and hands-on from start to finish: every student works the machine, not just watches.

They learn where coffee comes from, how espresso is made, how milk behaves when it’s steamed, and the drinks a specialty coffee shop serves. Then they put it into practice, finishing with a barista assessment and a BSI certificate.

It’s useful well beyond the day. Café and hospitality work is one of the most common first jobs, and students leave knowing how a professional coffee bar actually works.

  • Commercial machinesThe same equipment used in specialty coffee shops.
  • Milk and latte artSteaming, texturing and a first heart or rosetta.
  • BSI certificateEach student is assessed and gets their certificate.
  • Small groupsSo everyone gets real time on the machine.
