Barista Level 2

Our Barista Level 2 course  is the next step on from our Barista Workshop L1 course. We recommend that anyone who wishes to take this course would have already completed our L1 course and have worked at least 100 hours on an espresso machine in between courses.

On this course  we will take a more in debth look some of the topics covered in L1.

You will learn about the origins of coffee, coffee processing and how they affect flavor, brew ratios, milks, advanced espresso techniques, intro to cupping, grinder trouble shooting and more.

 

After your course, you will have advanced further in your craft and will be confidently able to speak about and produce drinks to a professional standard.

This is often the slight margin between a good barista and a great barista.

Each module has been carefully designed to give you an edge over your competitors within the speciality coffee industry. We are constantly reviewing and updating the course content so you can enter the barista course completely assured that you will be taught the newest and most in demand tricks of the trade.

We break our classes down into two segment area's, 1. Theory 2. Practicle. By doing this we can can cleary focus on each area and define the individual needs of each student.

1. Theory​​

  • Coffee processing and the effect on flavour

  • Cupping

2. Pratical

  • Intro to brewing equipment

  • Cupping

  • The flavour wheel

  • Advanced Espresso + Trouble shooting

  • Advanced Latte Art - How to make a heart, rosetta, tulip, inverse tulip, elephant, peacock
